Üllar Saaremäe (born November 23, 1969) is an Estonian actor, director, politician, and punk band singer. Biography Üllar Saaremäe was born 23 November 1969 in Kohtla-Nõmme. He has two children from his relationship with actress Tiina Mälberg: Karl Robert and Marii Ingriin. He was the creator and producer of the Estonian Punk Song Festival in 2008, for which he received the Estonian Volunteer of the Year national award. Saaremäe is also involved in politics; he is a member of the conservative Pro Patria party and from 2009–2013 was a member of the Rakvere City Council. From 2017–2018, he was a member of the Kadrina Rural Municipality Council, and is a Lääne-Viru County electoral district member of the XIV Riigikogu XIV Riigikogu is the 14th legislature of the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu). Kohtla-Nõmme
Kohtla-Nõmme is a Populated places in Estonia, borough () in Toila Parish, in Ida-Viru County, in northeastern Estonia. It had a population of 1,047 (as of 1 January 2009) and an area of 4.64 km². In the 1930s, New Consolidated Gold Fields opened a shale oil extraction complex at Kohtla-Nõmme. In 1937, the company opened the Kohtla underground mine. After Occupation of the Baltic states, the occupation of Estonia by the Soviet Union, the company was nationalized in 1940. The Kohtla-Nõmme shale oil extraction complex continued to operate until 1961. The underground mine stayed operational until 2001. After that the Estonian Mining Museum was opened at the site. ''Tuulepealne maa'' ("Windward Land") is a twelve-part Estonian television mini-series about the pre-World War II history of Estonia, its birth as a country, the Estonian War of Independence, post-war life throughout 1920 up to 1941 and World War II. The series first aired on 9 October 2008 on Estonia's ETV. Each episode runs at approximately 55 minutes.
