Ülenurme is a small borough () in Tartu County, in Kambja Parish, in Estonia. It was the administrative centre of Ülenurme Parish. Ülenurme has a population of 1,574 (as of 1 September 2010). Tartu Airport, which is sometimes called Ülenurme Airport, is located near Ülenurme in the village of Reola. Ülenurme has a station on Tartu Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia after Tallinn. Ãœlenurme Parish
Ülenurme Parish () was a rural municipality in Tartu County, Estonia, directly south of Tartu. In 2017, the Government of Estonia decided to merge Ülenurme Parish into Kambja Parish by the administrative reform. Ülenurme Parish Council did not wish to voluntarily join, challenging compulsory affiliation to the Supreme Court, but lost their case. There were four boroughs in the rural municipality: Külitse, Räni, Tõrvandi, and Ülenurme. They account for 7/10 of the rural municipality's inhabitants. Ülenurme got its name from the Ülenurme manor built at the beginning of the 17th century. Due to the proximity to the city of Tartu, a large-scale real estate development took place in Ülenurme during the economic boom, resulting in the new housing estates of Männi, Aasa and Mõis. Tartu Airport
Tartu Airport () is an airport in Reola, Ülenurme Parish, south southwest of Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia. It is also called Ülenurme Airport due to its proximity to the village of Ülenurme. The Tallinn–Tartu–Võru–Luhamaa highway (E263) passes near the airport. History The airport was opened on 15 May 1946. In 1981, a new terminal building was built, and the runway and taxiway were upgraded. Since 2005, the airport has been operated by Tallinn Airport. In 2009, the runway was lengthened to . Airlines and destinations After Finnair ended flights from Tartu in October 2022 there were no regular commercial passenger flights to Tartu. Reola
Reola is a village in Kambja Parish, Tartu County, Estonia. It is located about 9 km south of Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia, adjacent to Ülenurme and Tõrvandi. Reola is passed by the Tallinn–Tartu–Võru–Luhamaa road ( E263) and the Tartu– Koidula railway. Tartu Airport is located on the territory of Reola village. As of the 2011 census, the settlement's population was 174. The Reola Manor (''Rewold'') was mentioned in 1522, now in the adjacent neighbouring Uhti village. Uhti was first mentioned in 1299 as ''Huchten''. The Valge Kõrts (''White tavern''), from the 19th century, is a frequently visited historical attraction that is located near the highway, in the village of Uhti.
