Ülar Mark
Ülar Mark (born 12 February 1968) is an Estonian architect. He graduated from the Department of Architecture of the Tallinn University of Art (today's Estonian Academy of Arts) in 1995. From 1999 to 2002, Mark worked as the chief architect of the city of Narva. Since 2002, Mark has worked in the architectural bureau Urban Mark OÜ. Mark is a member of the Union of Estonian Architects and from 2006 to 2007 was the chairman of the union. From 2009 to 2013 Ülar Mark worked as the chairman of the Estonian Center of Architecture. From 2009, Mark is the partner of Allianss Architects OÜ. From 2015, Head Architect and Founder of Kodasema, the architecture, design and engineering firm that creates and builds innovative living and housing solutions. Notable works by Mark are the gallery of the Bank of Estonia, the Tallink Spa Hotel and the new railway station of Tartu, and KODA by Kodasema housing concept. Estonians
Estonians or Estonian people () are a Finnic ethnic group native to the Baltic Sea region in Northern Europe, primarily their nation state of Estonia. Estonians primarily speak the Estonian language, a language closely related to other Finnic languages, e.g. Finnish, Karelian and Livonian. The Finnic languages are a subgroup of the larger Uralic family of languages, which also includes e.g. the Sami languages. These languages are markedly different from most other native languages spoken in Europe, most of which have been assigned to the Indo-European family of languages. Estonian Academy Of Arts
The Estonian Academy of Arts (Estonian language, Estonian: ''Eesti Kunstiakadeemia'', EKA) is the only public university in Estonia providing higher education in art, design, architecture, Media (communication), media, art history and conservation-restoration. Narva
Narva is a municipality and city in Estonia. It is located in the Ida-Viru County, at the Extreme points of Estonia, eastern extreme point of Estonia, on the west bank of the Narva (river), Narva river which forms the Estonia–Russia border, Estonia–Russia international border. Tartu Railway Station
Tartu railway station () is the main railway station in Tartu, Estonia. Tartu railway station is situated west of the centre Tartu. It was established in 1876 when Tapa–Tartu route was built. The station building was opened in 1877. Passenger trains are operated by Elron and most services are towards Tallinn. There are also services to Valga and to Jõgeva, Orava, Koidula and Piusa. There are two platforms with the length of 260m and 330m. Kärt Tomingas
Kärt Tomingas (5 April 1967 – 31 January 2025) was an Estonian stage, television, voice and film actress, singer, lecturer and acting and theatre pedagogue. Tomingas' career began in the 1980s as a folk-pop, rock and jazz singer and soon after began a career as an actress. Since 2008, she had been an acting lecturer and has taught acting. Early life and education Kärt Tomingas was born in Tallinn on 5 April 1967, to architect Rein and Tamara Tomingas (''née'' Palm). She had a sister Triin and two paternal half-siblings. After her parents divorced when she was young, she moved with her mother and sister to Keila to live with her grandmother where she attended primary and secondary schools, graduating from Keila Gymnasium in 1985. In 1986, she enrolled at the Tallinn Conservatory (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) to study acting and graduated in 1990.
