Último Dragón Gym Championship
The Último Dragón Gym Championship (also shortened to UDG Championship) was a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the Japanese promotion Toryumon Japan. It was established in April 2003 as an award for the winner of the tournament. The title was short-lived however, with only three distinctive champions over four reigns. It was deactivated on July 5, 2004, after Toryumon Japan restructured into Dragon Gate, and was replaced by the Open the Dream Gate Championship. Toryumon (Último Dragón)
is the name of several professional wrestling promotions that have operated in Japan and Mexico. The promotions were owned and operated by Yoshihiro Asai, who is best known under the ring name Último Dragón. Toryumon is a coined word that means ''Fighting Dragon Gate''. The word was derived from the homonym that literally means ''climbing up the dragon gate'' (or less literally ''climbing up the gateway to success''). The Toryumon Mexico promotion was originally created to give graduates of the Último Dragón Gym a promotion to gain their initial in-ring experience in. Its Japan-based sister promotion Toryumon Japan developed a major cult following and grew into becoming one of the hottest independent promotions in the country. Shuji Kondo
is a Japanese people, Japanese professional wrestler. Prior to becoming a pro wrestler, he played Rugby union, rugby. After starting his career in Dragon Gate (wrestling), Toryumon, Kondo eventually joined All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), where he became one of the promotion's top Cruiserweight (professional wrestling), junior heavyweights, winning the World Junior Heavyweight Championship (AJPW), World Junior Heavyweight Championship three times and the All Asia Tag Team Championship once. Takahiro Suwa
, better known simply as Suwa (stylized in all capital letters), is a retired Japanese professional wrestler. He originally retired from professional wrestling in 2007, but later returned for a short period of time in 2013 as Maybach Taniguchi Jr before a cervical spine injury forced him to retire once again.
