Úlfur Hansson
Úlfur Hansson (born 30 March 1988) is an Icelandic songwriter, electronic musician and composer. He is also an engineer and has designed and built his own musical instruments. Some of his works have been written for classical ensembles, such as the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, and the Kronos Quartet. In 2013 he was named Young Composer of the Year at the International Rostrum of Composers. Style Úlfur's music is characterized by dense string arrangements and modal counterpoint. Úlfur's music also incorporates microtonalism to a varying degree, with some of his works being written entirely for custom tuning arrangements. His piece for large orchestra ''Interwoven'' was written for all 38 independent string voices of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. International Rostrum Of Composers
The International Rostrum of Composers (IRC) is an annual forum organized by the International Music Council that offers broadcasting representatives the opportunity to exchange and publicize pieces of contemporary classical music. It is funded by contributions from participating national radio networks. The first Rostrum took place in 1954 and involved delegates from the German, French, Belgian and Swiss national broadcasting companies. From then until 2002 the Rostrum's sessions were held at UNESCO's headquarters in Paris, with the exception of 2000 when they were hosted by Muziek Groep Nederland and the Gaudeamus Foundation in Amsterdam. Since 2003, a rotation system has been in place, where the Rostrum is hosted every other year by Radio France and in the intervening year visits a European venue. Daníel Bjarnason
Daníel Bjarnason (born 26 February 1979) is an Icelandic composer and conductor. He has garnered widespread acclaim for his debut album, ''Processions'' (2010), with TimeOut NY writing he "create(s) a sound that comes eerily close to defining classical music's undefinable brave new world". Life and career Born on 26 February 1979, Daníel studied composition, piano and conducting in Reykjavik, before going on to further study orchestral conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. He has had a number of works commissioned and debuted by Los Angeles Philharmonic. Daníel is currently composer-in-residence at the Muziekgebouw Frits Philips, Eindhoven, Netherlands and was artist-in-residence with Iceland Symphony Orchestra from 2015 to 2018. Marissa Nadler (born April 5, 1981) is an American singer-songwriter. Active since 2000, she is currently signed to Sacred Bones Records and Bella Union, and released her ninth full-length studio album, ''The Path of the Clouds'', in October 2021. Musical Instrument Digital Interface (; MIDI) is an American-Japanese technical standard that describes a communication protocol, digital interface, and electrical connectors that connect a wide variety of electronic musical instruments, computers, and related audio devices for playing, editing, and recording music. A single MIDI cable can carry up to sixteen channels of MIDI data, each of which can be routed to a separate device. Each interaction with a key, button, knob or slider is converted into a MIDI event, which specifies musical instructions, such as a note's pitch, timing and velocity. It aired on JTBC from February 15 to April 19, 2023, every Wednesday at 20:50 ( KST) for the first two episodes before it changed to 22:30 (KST) from the third episode onwards.
