Øystein Havang
Øystein Havang (born 3 September 1964) is a Norwegian handball player. He won national titles with Sandefjord TIF, and played for the national team over a period of ten years. Biography Havang was born on 3 September 1964. He played 187 matches and scored 717 goals for the Norway men's national handball team between 1987 and 1997. He participated at the 1993 and 1997 World Men's Handball Championships. With his club Sandefjord TIF Havang won national titles in 1993, 1999 and 2004. He was top scorer in the Norwegian league in the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Tønsbergs Turnforening, often called Tønsberg Turn is a Norwegian sports club from Tønsberg, Vestfold. It has sections for team handball, speed skating, figure skating, gymnastics and pétanque. General history The club was founded on 9 June 1864. In November 1981 it lost its track and field section, as it merged with IF Tønsberg-Kameratene to form Tønsberg FIK. In 1985 the association football section merged with Tønsberg-Kameratene to form Tønsberg FK. Oppsal Idrettsforening (founded on 4 August 1912 as ''Bryn Atletklubb'') is a multi-sports club from Oslo, Norway. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The goals are surrounded by a zone where only the defending goalkeeper is allowed; goals must be scored by throwing the ball from outside the zone or while "diving" into it. The 1993 World Men's Handball Championship was the 13th handball World Championship. It was held in Sweden 10–20 March. Russia men's national handball team, Russia won the championship.
