Øystein Gåre
Øystein Gåre (30 June 1954 – 18 September 2010) was a Norwegian football coach. He is best known to have led FK Bodø/Glimt to silver medals in both the Norwegian Premier League and the Norwegian Football Cup in 2003; for this Gåre received the Kniksen award as coach of the year. Fotballklubben Bodø/Glimt (), also referred to as Bodø/Glimt or its former name Glimt, is a Norwegian professional football club from the town of Bodø in Bodø Municipality, Nordland county, Norway. The club currently plays in Eliteserien, the Norwegian top division. The club was founded in 1916. Bodø/Glimt are four-time champions in Norway after winning the 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 Eliteserien seasons. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. The Norwegian Football Cup () is the main knockout cup competition in Norwegian football. Kniksen Award
The Kniksen Award (), established in 1990, honors the best players in the Norwegian football premiership. The award is named after the legendary Norwegian football player Roald Jensen, nicknamed "Kniksen". Categories Category A A jury composed of players, leaders, coaches and officials in the Tippeligaen, nominates and choose the winners in each category. All the nominees must play in the Norwegian top division. The player's nationality does not matter.
