Lensvik
Lensvik is a village in Orkland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located on the western shore of the Trondheimsfjorden, just north of the village of Selbekken. Lensvik is the site of Lensvik Church, and it lies about north of the village of Ingdalen. The lake Øyangsvatnet is located about to the west of Lensvik. History The village was the administrative centre of the old Lensvik Municipality which existed from 1905-1964 when it became part of Agdenes Municipality. In 2020, it became part of Orkland Municipality. Attractions Lensvik is often called the strawberry capital of Norway. The strawberries are sought after as far as the United States and France. The strawberry season runs from July to August. The first week of July also holds the annual strawberry festival. Selbekken is a village in Orkland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located directly south of the village of Lensvik along the Trondheimsfjorden and the Norwegian County Road 710. The village has a population (2024) of 448 and a population density of . The lake Øyangsvatnet lies about west of the village, the village of Ingdalen lies about to the south, and the village of Vassbygda, Agdenes, Vassbygda lies about to the north. Ingdalen is a village in Orkland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village lies along the western shore of the Trondheimsfjord about south of the villages of Lensvik and Selbekken. Ingdal Chapel is located in the village. The lake Øyangsvatnet lies about west of the village. History The village was once a part of Stadsbygd Municipality which included land on both sides of the Trondheimsfjord, but in 1964 the Ingdalen area was separated from Stadsbygd and merged into Agdenes Municipality which was on the same side of the fjord.
