Central Denmark Region
The Central Denmark Region (), or more directly translated as the Central Jutland Region and sometimes simply Mid-Jutland, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform. The reform abolished the traditional counties (''amter'') and replaced them with five new administrative regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the total number of municipalities from 271 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favour of the local level and the national government in Copenhagen. The Central Denmark Region comprises 19 municipalities. Norddjurs Municipality () is a municipality (Danish language, Danish, ''Commune (subnational entity), kommune'') in Region Midtjylland in Denmark. It covers an area of 721.2 km² and has a population of 36,658 (1. January 2025). Djursland
Djursland () is a 1,417 km2 hilly lowland peninsula in Denmark at the entrance to the Baltic Sea, between Denmark and Sweden in Northern Europe. Djursland protrudes into the Kattegat sea, as part of the larger peninsula of Jutland, which itself extends from the Central European continent. Djursland comprises the two municipalities of Norddjurs Municipality, Norddjurs and Syddjurs. The only larger city on Djursland is Grenå, but both Randers and Aarhus are close-by. Agriculture and fishing has been the mainstay of the rural culture here for millennia. Randers Fjord
Randers Fjord is a long Danish fjord in Northern Europe leading to the sea of Kattegat, between Denmark and Sweden. The fjord is the outlet from Denmark's longest river, Gudenå. The upper , starting at the town Randers, looks more like a broad river than a fjord. The lower have extensive reed plains bordering the shores To some extent this inhibits the recreational use of and access to the fjord. In some places, the reed beds are harvested for traditional roof thatching. The shallow eastern part of the fjord is known as Grund Fjord, being an extension of Alling Å. Two small ferries cross Randers Fjord regularly. One is located halfway between Randers and the sea, at the small village of Voer, with a capacity of 3 - 4 cars, crossing the fjord to Mellerup. Charlotte Munck
Charlotte Munck (born 2 December 1969) is a Danish actress. She is notable for starring in the Danish police television drama '' Anna Pihl'' as the title character, which was aired on TV2. She was born in Aarhus and raised in Ørsted Djursland, about 14 miles from Randers. She was raised in a family of five, until she was 18 years old, and then moved to Copenhagen. She has three siblings who are all musicians. The eldest sister is the singer in the band ''Armstrong'', while her brother plays jazz trumpet and trained by the Rhythmic Conservatory.
