Ørnulf Bast
Ørnulf Bast (25 January 1907 – 28 October 1974) was a Norwegian sculptor and painter particularly known for his public monuments. Biography Ørnulf Bjarne Bast was born in Oslo. His parents were Halsten Andersen Bast Birklund (1870–1952) and Ida Mathilde Kristensen (1870–1960). Bast studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts () from 1927 to 1930. He made several study trips, first to France from 1928 to 1929 and later to Britain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain and North Africa, including Egypt, 1930 and 1932, and a new journey to Paris 1937. In 1940, Bast married Lajla von Hanno (1921–2010). During the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, he and his wife supplied a cover-up apartment for the Norwegian resistance movement, specifically for the staff of the sabotage squad Aks 13000, for some time. Ragnvald Ørnulf Rolsdorph Dahl (15 February 1900 – 8 December 1971) was a Norwegian military officer. He was born in Hamar, and was a brother of Arne Dagfin Dahl. He served at the Norwegian Legation in Finland in 1940, at the Norwegian Legation in Stockholm from 1940 to 1944, and at the Norwegian High Command in London from 1944 to 1945. As Colonel he headed Brigade 481 of the Independent Norwegian Brigade Group in Germany in 1948. He was promoted Major General in 1955, and head of the 1st Division. Ørnulf Egge (26 May 1910 – 31 July 1978) was a Norwegian politician for the Workers' Youth League and Communist Party and resistance member during World War II. Early political career He was born in Kristiania, and was a son of writer Peter Egge. He became a central board member in the Workers' Youth League in 1934, and belonged to the left wing. This became clear especially after 1937, although Egge managed to win support for the Workers' Youth League to still work for disarmament. After the German invasion and occupation of Norway in 1940, Egge joined the Trade Opposition of 1940, a grouping that wanted non-resistance against the German invaders in order to secure good conditions for workers and trade unions. Ørnulf Gulbransen
Ørnulf Gulbransen (19 December 1916 – 20 February 2004) was a Norwegian classical musician (flute) Career Gulbransen was born and died in Kristiania (Oslo), and had a leading position in Norwegian music for more than 50 years. In 1945 he married the violinist Elsa Lilian Gustavsen (b. 1921). He was known as an outstanding flautist and flute teacher both in Norway and internationally. He had an immense influence as a soloist, chamber musician and professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and was a catalyst for the growth and progress on the Norwegian music scene over the last half century. Ørnulf Rød (23 October 1891 – 1969) was a Norwegian barrister. He was born in Tønsberg as a son of ship-owner Bernhard Adolf Johannessen Rød (1833–1892) and Manny Gullichsen (1852–1933). He finished his secondary education in 1909, finished officer's training in 1912 and graduated with the cand.jur. degree from the Royal Frederick University in 1919. He was a deputy judge for one year before starting as a junior solicitor in Kristiania in 1920. From 1925 he was a barrister with access to working with Supreme Court cases.
