Ølstykke Municipality
Ølstykke is a former municipality in Region Hovedstaden. The former Ølstykke municipality covered an area of 29 km2, and had a total population of 15,358 (2005). The Capital Region has 29 municipalities and a regional council consisting of 41 elected members. The Capital Region was established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform. Until 1 January 2007 Ledøje-Smørum was a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Copenhagen County on Zealand (''Sjælland'') island in eastern Denmark, then merged into Egedal. The municipality covered an area of and had a total population of 10,525 (2005), northwest of nearby Copenhagen.
