Örebro Län
Örebro ( , ) is the sixth-largest city in Sweden, the seat of Örebro Municipality, and capital of the Örebro County. It is situated by the Närke Plain, near the lake Hjälmaren, a few kilometers inland along the small river Svartån, and has a population of approximately 126,000 in the city proper. It is one of the largest inland hubs of the country, and a major logistic and commercial operating site. Örebro is home to Örebro University, a major university hospital, a medieval castle, the water park Gustavsvik as well as several large shopping malls and the Oset-Rynningeviken nature reserve at the lakefront. Örebro is served by Örebro Airport 10 km (6 mi) southwest of the city, and by Örebro Central Station, serviced by the Mälaren Line and Western Main Line. The year indicates the year they were established or when they were granted a royal charter. The list does not include towns in Finland established during Swedish rule. Overview Legally and administratively, the term ''stad'' is not used in Sweden since the municipal reform of 1971, when the municipality (''kommun'') became the only existing form of local government. Before the reform there were 132 urban centres (133 to 1966) that had the title of ''stad''. Hallsberg Municipality
Hallsberg Municipality (''Hallsbergs kommun'') is a municipality in Örebro County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Hallsberg. The present municipality was created in 1971 when the market town (''köping'') of Hallsberg was amalgamated with adjacent municipalities. A series of amalgamations had taken place in the area in 1952, 1963 and 1967. Gustavsvik
Gustavsvik is a major recreational facility in the town of Örebro which was built in 1963 and it includes the largest water park in Northern Europe. Gustavsvik is one of Sweden’s most visited tourist and leisure facilities. In 2012, it had around 100,000 visitors. Northern Europe’s largest indoor swimming facility includes among other things a 50-metre long swimming pool with a diving tower and sunbeds, an adventure pool area with masses of attractions, a relaxation area, and a fitness centre with a gym and sunbeds. There are outdoor swimming pools outside, a water playground, a water slide, and large green areas suitable for sunbathing and other activities. The facility is named after the owner of the brickyard which used to occupy the area where it is now situated. An open-air pool was built in 1935; the first temperate indoor pool was built in 1963.
