Óscar René Cardozo MarÃn (; born 20 May 1983), best known as Tacuara (Guarani language, Guarani for Guadua), is a Paraguayan professional association football, footballer who plays as a striker (association football), striker for Club Libertad and the Paraguay national football team, Paraguay national team. Known for his powerful left-foot shot and Direct free kick, free-kick skills, he first gained attention whilst playing for Newell's Old Boys, which led to a move to S.L. Benfica, Benfica in 2007. He scored nearly 200 official goals for the Portuguese club and won eight major titles, including the 2009–10 Primeira Liga, 2010 national championship, where he also was the Bola de Prata (Portugal), top scorer, and Treble (association football), the domestic treble in the 2013–14 S.L. The División Intermedia (), also known as the Segunda División (), is the third highest professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. The 2007 Campeonato Sudamericano Copa América, known simply as the 2007 Copa América or 2007 Copa América Venezuela, was the 42nd edition of the Copa América, the South-American championship for international association football teams. The competition was organized by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body, and was held between 26 June and 15 July in Venezuela, which hosted the tournament for the first time.
