Ólafur Þór Gunnarsson
Ólafur Þór Gunnarsson (born 25 October 1977) is an Icelandic former footballer. He played the majority of his career in Iceland and capped for the Icelandic national team against Brazil in 2002. He played football for Flagler College in the United States, where he was a three-time NAIA All-American, All-Region XIV and All-Florida Sun Conference selection. In 2016, he was inducted into the schools hall of fame. Playing career Ólafur started his senior team career with ÍR in 1994. In end of December 1997, he went on a tryout with Sheffield Wednesday. After a breakout season in 1998, he transferred to ÍA prior to the 1999 season. In his first league game with ÍA, he conceded a goal after only 17-seconds. After four seasons with ÍA, he transferred to Valur in 2003. During the 2004 season, he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Florida Sun Conference
The Sun Conference (TSC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Eight of the ten full member institutions are located in Florida, with two in Georgia. The Sun Conference competes in the NAIA in all sponsored sports. Fjalar Þorgeirsson
Fjalar Þorgeirsson (born 18 January 1977) is an Icelandic football coach and former player who played the goalkeeper position. He played 5 games for the Iceland national football team during his career. He played 227 matches in the Icelandic top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla. Playing career Fjalar started his career with Þróttur before joining Fram in 2000. After two seasons with Fram, Fjalar returned to Þróttur where he played until their relegation in 2005. From 2006 to 2011 he played for Fylkir. On 27 July 2009, he broke his hand during a game against Fram after a collision with an opponent. Despite the injury, he played the remaining 20 minutes of the game. Prior to the 2012 season, Fjalar signed with KR. The Besta deild karla () is a professional association football league in Iceland and the highest level of the Icelandic football league system. The competition was founded in 1912 as the Icelandic Championship. Because of the harsh winters in Iceland, it is generally played in the spring and summer (April to September). It is governed by the Football Association of Iceland (KSÍ) and has 12 teams. By the end of the 2022–23 season, UEFA ranked the league No. 48 in Europe. Atlanta Silverbacks FC
The Atlanta Silverbacks FC were an American professional soccer club based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1998 as Atlanta Ruckus, the club played in many leagues over the years before folding after the 2015 season. The team played its home games at Atlanta Silverbacks Park, a large soccer complex featuring a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium in Atlanta, 15 miles northeast of downtown. The team's colors were red, black, grey, and white. The club had 2 independent supporter groups, Westside 109 and the Atlanta Ultras. The Ultras were established in 2011 & were known to support both the Silverbacks men's and women's side. The Ultras were also to be known for their fanatical support at Silverbacks Park, as well as away matches. They had a reputation for their unfriendly or challenging attitude towards fans from opposing clubs.
