ﾃ考havo (), officially the City of ﾃ考havo (), is a city and municipality located in the Aveiro District of central Portugal. The population in 2021 was 39,239, in an area of 73.48 km2. The Municipality of ﾃ考havo includes four parishes and two cities: Gafanha da Nazarﾃｩ and ﾃ考havo proper. General information Several stories have been gathered as part of the history of this city: Traditionally, the local women — ''As ilhavenses'' — are famous for their beauty. It is claimed the city was founded by Greek colonists around 400 BC to whom the beauty of "ilhavenses" women is attributed, but others state that the Phoenician settlers are the ones responsible for that. ﾃ考havo's nickname is "the city of the lamp" (''a cidade da lﾃ｢mpada''). According to legend, one Sunday during Mass, one of the most important relics of the church (an oil lamp) was stolen in front of everybody and was never found. Ihtiman ( ) is a town in western Bulgaria, part of Sofia Province. It is located in the Ihtiman Valley of the Ihtimanska Sredna Gora mountain range and lies in a valley 48 km from Sofia and 95 km from Plovdiv, close to the Trakiya motorway. Formerly a Roman defensive station guarding the important roads to the Bosphorus, Ihtiman was then called ''Stipon''. It continued to play this role under the Byzantine Empire and later under the First and Second Bulgarian Empires, with the main defensive centre in the region of the Gate of Trajan hill pass. In 986 the Bulgarian Emperor Samuel dealt a crushing defeat on the Byzantines in the battle of the Gates of Trajan. Grindavﾃｭk
Grindavﾃｭk () is a fishing town in the Southern Peninsula district of Iceland, not far from ﾃ柞rbjﾃｶrn, a tuya (a type of flat-topped, steep-sided volcano). It is one of the few towns with a harbour on this coast. Most of the inhabitants work in the fishing industry. The Blue Lagoon, Grindavﾃｭk's premiﾃｨre attraction, is located from the town. In November 2023, in the midst of escalating and severe seismic activity, a state of emergency was declared and the town evacuated. On 18 December 2023, at around 22:00 local time ( GMT), the Sundhnﾃｺkur volcano erupted. The eruption was close to Hagafell, about northeast of Grindavﾃｭk.
