Ézaro
Ézaro (officially known as ''O Ézaro (Santa Uxía)'') is a parish part of the municipality of Dumbría, in the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia of northwestern Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Fisterra. It had a population of 600 inhabitants in 2019. Geography It is the only parish of the Dumbría municipality bordering the sea, the Atlantic Ocean. It is 100 kilometres away from A Coruña and it is located in the region called ''Costa da Morte''. The area of the parish is 13.2 km². It is crossed by the river Xallas, which flows into the sea in the waterfall called Fervenza do Ézaro. Nowadays the water flows permanently by the waterfall, while years ago it only happened during weekends (when the floodgates of the upstream dam were opened). Near the waterfall, it is located the Museum of the Electricity and the start of the road climb to Mirador de Ézaro . Mirador De Ézaro
Mirador de Ézaro is a steep mountain road in Galicia, near Costa da Morte, in northern Spain. This road starts in the town of Ézaro (part of Dumbría municipality) by the river Xallas, and it reaches the summit by the homonymous viewpoint. The viewpoint has a magnificent vista of the mouth of the river Xallas, the slopes of granitic Mount Pindo, the cove of O Ézaro, the small Lobeiras islands and the unmistakable shape of Cape Fisterra in the background. It is considered a short but very demanding climb in professional road bicycle racing and is often used in the Vuelta a España stage race and UCI Gran Fondo World Series. Costa Da Morte
Costa da Morte (; "Coast of Death") is a part of the Galician coast. The most common definition of the Costa da Morte states that it extends from Cape Finisterre to Malpica, although some may debate it extends from Muros to A Coruña. Background The Costa da Morte received its name because there have been so many shipwrecks along its treacherous rocky shore. The shore of the Costa da Morte is exposed directly to the Atlantic Ocean. It is an area that has suffered a number of oil spills, including the spill from the ''Prestige'' in 2002. The exterior cape region is known for anthropological, historical and geographical reasons. They are entities with a territorial scope lower than municipality and have their own legal personality.
