Étienne Jourdan
Étienne Jourdan (? – Paris, 9 March 1847), was a 19th-century French playwright, engraver and chansonnier. An engraver, member of the , he wrote some theatre plays given at the Théâtre de l'Ambigu-Comique, the Théâtre du Vaudeville and the Théâtre de la Gaîté as well as a collection of songs of which the best known is La Goguette'. Théâtre De L'Ambigu-Comique
The (, literally, Theatre of the Comic-Ambiguity), a former Parisian theatre, was founded in 1769 on the boulevard du Temple immediately adjacent to the Théâtre de Nicolet. It was rebuilt in 1770 and 1786, but in 1827 was destroyed by fire. A new, larger theatre with a capacity of 2,000 as compared to the earlier 1,250 was built nearby on the at its intersection with the rue de Bondy and opened the following year. Théâtre Du Vaudeville
The Théâtre du Vaudeville () was a theatre company in Paris. It opened on 12 January 1792 on rue de Chartres. Its directors, Pierre-Antoine-Augustin de Piis, Piis and Yves Barré, Barré, mainly put on "petites pièces mêlées de couplets sur des airs connus", including Comédie en vaudeville, vaudevilles. After the theatre on the rue de Chartres burned down in 1838, the Vaudeville temporarily based itself on boulevard de Bonne-Nouvelle before in 1841 setting up in the Salle de la Bourse on the Place de la Palais Brongniart, Bourse in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, 2e arrondissement. The Théâtre de la Gaîté (), a former Parisian theatre company, was founded in 1759 on the boulevard du Temple by the celebrated Théâtre de la foire, Parisian fair-grounds showman Jean-Baptiste Nicolet as the Théâtre de Nicolet, ou des Grands DanseursMcCormick 1993, p. 16.Whittaker 1827vol. 2, p. 520 (). Marie-Emmanuel-Guillaume-Marguerite Théaulon de Lambert (14 August 1787, Aigues-Mortes – 16 November 1841) was a French playwright.
