Érick Bernabé Barrondo García (born 14 June 1991) is a Guatemalan racewalker who competes in the 20 km walk and 50 km walk events. He won the silver medal at the Men's 20 km Racewalk in the 2012 Summer Olympics, the first Olympic medal in Guatemala's history. Early life He was born in Aldea Chiyuc in the municipality of San Cristóbal Verapaz, Alta Verapaz Department, Guatemala. Initially, Barrondo competed in long-distance running events, following in the footsteps of his parents. However, he sustained an injury and was introduced to racewalking as a method of recovering. Érick Gabriel Gutiérrez Galaviz (born 15 June 1995), also known as Guti, is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga MX club Guadalajara and the Mexico national team. Gutiérrez began both his youth and professional career at Pachuca, winning the 2016 Clausura title and the 2016–17 CONCACAF Champions League in his five years with the club. During the 2015–2016 season, he was named captain of the team at the age of 20. Érick Valencia Salazar (; born 11 March 1977 or 19 November 1982), commonly referred to by his alias El 85, is a Mexican drug lord and high-ranking leader of the CJNG. He served as a high-ranking leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group based in Jalisco. He was extradited to the United States in 2025. The Neuilly kindergarten hostage crisis took place from 13–15 May 1993, when Érick Schmitt (calling himself the "Human Bomb"), a depressed and unemployed businessman, held a kindergarten class in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, hostage for two days. He was armed with a flare gun and strapped with explosives, and was eventually killed on 15 May during a RAID (French police unit), RAID assault. There were no other casualties.
