Éric Legrix (born 5 September 1965 in France) a French jockey and horse trainer who has won many G1 races, including the Prix Jacques le Marois in 1985 with Vin De France, the Breeders' Cup Turf in 1991 with Miss Alleged, the Hong Kong Derby (twice), the Queen Elizabeth II Cup and the Prix du Cadran (four times). and over 1800 Winners in world. Prix Jacques Le Marois
The Prix Jacques Le Marois is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbred colts and fillies aged three years or older. It is run in August each year at Deauville over a distance of 1,600 metres (about 1 mile). History The event is named in memory of Jacques Le Marois (1865–1920), a president of the venue's former governing body, the Société des Courses de Deauville. It was established in 1921, and was originally restricted to three-year-olds. Deauville Racecourse was closed during World War II, and the Prix Jacques Le Marois was cancelled in 1940. For the remainder of this period it was switched between Maisons-Laffitte (1941–43, 1945) and Longchamp (1944). It returned to Deauville in 1946, and was opened to horses aged four or older in 1952. Breeders' Cup Turf
The Breeders' Cup Turf is a Weight for Age Thoroughbred horse race on turf for three-year-olds and up. It is held annually at a different racetrack in the United States or Canada as part of the Breeders' Cup World Championships. The race's current title sponsor is Longines. The race is run at the European Classic distance of miles, making it one of the most internationally appealing races on the Breeders' Cup lineup. Miss Alleged
Miss Alleged (1987–2008) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse who was a Champion in the United States and one of only two fillies to ever win the Breeders' Cup Turf. Background Foaled in Kentucky, she was out of the mare, Miss Tusculum. Her sire was Alleged, the 1977 European Horse of the Year who won back-to-back runnings of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. Purchased and raced by Beirut, Lebanon businessman Issam M. Fares, Miss Alleged was trained by Pascal Bary. Racing career The filly did not start at age two, but in four starts at age three she compiled three wins and a second in the Group One Prix Vermeille. Following ankle surgery, Miss Alleged did not return to racing until May 1991. Hong Kong Derby
The Hong Kong Derby is a Hong Kong Thoroughbred horse race held annually since 1873. Restricted to horses four-years-old only since 1981, the race is run in mid-March and is the premier event on the domestic racing programme with a purse of HK$18 million (app. US$2.3 million). This is the last race in the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing#Hong Kong, Hong Kong Four-Year-Old Classic Series. The first Hong Kong Derby was raced at Happy Valley Racecourse but in 1979 was transferred permanently to its present location at Sha Tin Racecourse. Queen Elizabeth II Cup
The Queen Elizabeth II Cup is a Group One Thoroughbred horse race at Sha Tin Racecourse in the New Territories, Hong Kong. Established in 1975 by the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club, it is run annually in April over a distance of 2,000 metres (ten furlongs) on turf. Prior to 1997, the distance of the race was 2,200 metres (eleven furlongs). Sponsored by Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet since 1999, it currently offers a purse of Hong Kong dollar, HK$20 million (US$2.6 million) since 2014/15. The Prix du Cadran is a Group 1 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbreds aged four years or older. It is run at Longchamp over a distance of 4,000 metres (about 2 miles), and it is scheduled to take place each year in early October. It is France's most prestigious race for "stayers" – horses which specialise in racing over long distances. It is the French equivalent of the Gold Cup, the leading stayers' race in Great Britain.
