Éric Landry
Joseph Éric Lucien Landry (born January 20, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Landry played 68 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Calgary Flames and the Montreal Canadiens from 1997 to 2002. He also played in the Kontinental Hockey League for HC Dynamo Moscow and Atlant Mytishchi and in the Swiss National League A (NLA) for HC Lausanne, Lausanne HC, EHC Basel, and HC Ambrì-Piotta from 2003 to 2012. In 2017, he became head coach of the Gatineau Olympiques in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, staying in that role until 2020. Playing career Born in Gatineau, Landry played midget hockey for Abitibi-Temiscamingue Forestiers, then played two seasons of junior hockey for St. Hyacinthe Laser, Saint-Hyacinthe Laser of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Assist (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. There can be a maximum of two assists per goal. The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). The Utah Grizzlies are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL. They play their home games at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah. Franchise history The current Utah Grizzlies franchise started in 1981 as the Nashville South Stars in Nashville, Tennessee, in the Central Hockey League. Henry Brabham then took over the team in 1983 and relocated them to Vinton, Virginia mid-season, to become the Virginia Lancers. The Quebec Citadelles (French: ''Citadelles de Québec'') were a Minor ice hockey team in the American Hockey League. They played in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada at the Colisée Pepsi. The name refers to the Citadelle of Quebec, a landmark fortification in that city since the late 17th century. The Citadelles were a minor-league feeder team that developed players for the NHL's Montreal Canadiens organization. The Saint John Flames were a Canadian ice hockey team in the American Hockey League from 1993 to 2003 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL).
