Éric Guérit
Éric Guérit (born 21 July 1964) is a French former professional football player and manager. A defensive midfielder by trade, he made more than 300 senior appearances for seven different clubs during a 14-year playing career spent mostly in the top division of French football. He later went into management, firstly as manager of Bordeaux in 1995, and has since held various positions at a number of clubs in France. Playing career Born in Niort in the west of France, Guérit played for several clubs around the Deux-Sèvres department as a youth, including Brûlain and ASPTT Niort. He began his senior career with Angoulême and broke into the first team during the 1981–82 campaign, making his debut in Division 2. Niort (; Poitevin: ''Niàu''; ; ) is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department, western France. It is the prefecture of Deux-Sèvres. The population of Niort is 58,707 (2017) and more than 177,000 people live in the urban area. Ligue 1 (; ), officially known as Ligue 1 McDonald's France, McDonald's for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in France and the highest level of the French football league system. A football scout attends football matches on the behalf of clubs to collect intelligence on young players. Typically, there are two types of scouts: player scouts and tactical scouts. Player scouts or physical scouts evaluate the talent of footballers with a view to signing them on a professional contract for their employers. Some scouts focus on discovering promising young players and future stars while others are employed to run the rule on potential signings. Smaller clubs might only scout within their own country region, while larger and richer clubs can have extensive international scouting networks. Tactical scouts assess the matches of upcoming opponents of the club and prepare dossiers for their teams' tactical preparations. Jacques "Jacky" Bonnevay (born 1 June 1961) is a French football coach and former player, who is assistant manager of Saint-Étienne. Playing career Bonnevay was born in Le Coteau, Loire. Patrice Neveu (born 29 March 1954) is a French association football, football coach and former player. Playing career Neveu enjoyed a short playing career in France with Angoulême CFC and ES La Rochelle. Coaching career After retiring as a player, Neveu has managed both club and national sides. Slavoljub Muslin ( sr-Cyrl, Славољуб Муслин, ; born 15 June 1953) is a Serbian football manager and former player. Muslin began his head coaching career in 1988 and has since had stints in France, Morocco, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belgium, Cyprus, Belarus, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
