''Émilie Simon'' is the debut album of Émilie Simon. The album was a commercial and critical success, winning a Victoire de la musique in 2004 for Best Electronic Album. Critics called her "France's answer to Iceland's alternative pop princess Björk." Simon wrote, composed and produced the bulk of the album by herself. Music ''Émilie Simon'' In May 2003, she released her debut album '' Émilie Simon''. The electronic album was critically acclaimed and went on to become a commercial success. To promote her album, she did numerous live performances and TV appearances all over France. In 2004, she was rewarded with a Victoire de la musique in the 'Electronic Album' category for the album. Two music videos were made to promote ''Émilie Simon'', for the songs " Désert" and "Flowers". The English version of "Désert" had an identical music video to the French version. Scott Asheton
Scott Randolph Asheton (August 16, 1949 – March 15, 2014) was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the rock band the Stooges. Biography Asheton was born in Washington, D.C., and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his family at the age of 14. He co-formed the Stooges in 1967 along with his older brother Ron Asheton, Iggy Pop, and Dave Alexander. The primitive sound that Asheton made was a template for many punk bands to come. The original incarnation of the band released two LPs on Elektra Records before moving through several lineup changes, releasing a third LP on Columbia Records in 1973 and disbanding the following year. During the Stooges' separation he was among the few ex-members to play again with Pop, with the mini-reunion occurring during a 1978 European tour which also included Scott Thurston. "Femme Fatale" is a song by American rock band the Velvet Underground from their 1967 debut album ''The Velvet Underground & Nico'', with lead vocals by Nico. Background The song was composed in the key of C major. At the request of Andy Warhol, band frontman Lou Reed wrote the song about Warhol superstar Edie Sedgwick. According to Reed, the title was inspired by Warhol saying, about Sedgwick, "Oh, don't you think she's a ''femme fatale'', Lou?" The song was recorded with vocals by Nico. David Michael Alexander (June 3, 1947 – February 10, 1975) was an American musician, best known as the original bassist for influential proto-punk band The Stooges. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 as a member of The Stooges.
