Élysée Montmartre () is a music venue located at 72 Boulevard de Rochechouart, Paris, France. It opened in 1807, burned down in 2011, reopened in 2016, and has a capacity of 1,380 patrons. The nearest métro station is Anvers. Origins The Élysée Montmartre was originally a ballroom inaugurated in 1807 :fr:Dictionnaire historique des rues de Paris where the famous Can-Can was performed among others dances during the 19th century. In 1900, the venue was damaged by fire and re-decorated. After the Second World War, it started hosting boxing matches. It also hosted professional wrestling shows, becoming a frequent venue for French television coverage from the 1950s to the 1980s. The Hours Tour was a small-scale promotional concert tour by the English singer-songwriter David Bowie comprising a handful of live performances and numerous television appearances in support of the album '' Hours'' in late 1999. Several live songs from the tour were included as b-sides to singles from the album, and concert recordings from the tour were released in 2020 as ''Something in the Air (Live Paris 99)'' and in 2021 with ''David Bowie At The Kit Kat Klub (Live New York 99)''. Background Bowie had released his album ''Hours'' in October 1999, and embarked on a short, mostly-promotional set of shows to promote the album. Sonata Arctica
Sonata Arctica is a Finnish power metal band from the town of Kemi, Finland. Created as a hard rock band named Tricky Beans, they later changed to Tricky Means and finally to Sonata Arctica, when they shifted to power metal. The current lineup consists of drummer Tommy Portimo, lead singer Tony Kakko, keyboardist Henrik Klingenberg, guitarist Elias Viljanen and bassist Pasi Kauppinen. "You Got Me" is a song by American hip hop band The Roots, featuring vocals from Erykah Badu (who sings the chorus) and Eve, then known as Eve of Destruction, who raps the second verse but does not appear in the music video. The track was released as a single from the band's fourth studio album, ''Things Fall Apart'' (1999), in January 1999. Background "You Got Me" was co-written by musician Jill Scott, who recorded vocals for the song's chorus and bridge. Her part was subsequently re-recorded by Badu at the insistence of MCA Records, who wanted a higher-profile collaboration for the album's official lead single (at the time, Scott was relatively unknown outside Philadelphia).
