Édouard Husson
Édouard Husson (born 1969), is a French historian, university professor, and former CEO of ESCP Europe. He was elected in 2009 as Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Picardy. From 2009 to 2010, he was responsible for the humanities and social sciences as a member of Valérie Pécresse's staff. On 11 August 2010, he became Vice-Chancellor of the Universities of Paris until September 2012, when he was appointed Director of the ESCP Europe. University Of Picardy
The University of Picardy Jules Verne ( French: ''Université de Picardie Jules Verne''; UPJV) is a public university located in the former Picardy region of France (now part of Hauts-de-France). It consists of several campuses located in the towns of Amiens, Beauvais, Cuffies, Saint-Quentin, Creil, and Laon. The university was part of the University of Lille Nord de France group. History The University of Picardy Jules Verne was established in 1970 as a successor to the former University of Amiens. It was initially simply called the University of Picardy during its first two decades, until 1991 when writer Jules Verne's named was added. Verne spent much of his life in Amiens. What started as a small university now has over 30,000 students across all campuses. The university celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019-2020. Jacques Bainville
Jacques Pierre Bainville (; 9 February 1879 – 9 February 1936) was a French historian and journalist. A geopolitical theorist, concerned by Franco-German relations, he was a leading figure in the monarchist ''Action Française''. As fascinated as he was worried by Germany which continuously grew stronger, he intensely advocated against democracy, the French Revolution, internationalism and liberalism. A plaza is named after him at the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Political career Bainville is best known for his prophetic criticisms of the Treaty of Versailles in ''Les Conséquences Politiques de la Paix'' (The Political Consequences of Peace, 1920). Jonathan Littell
Jonathan Littell (born October 10, 1967) is a writer living in Barcelona. His first novel written in French, '' The Kindly Ones'' (2006; ''Les Bienveillantes''), won two major French awards, including the Prix Goncourt and the Prix de l'Académie française. Littell grew up in France and the United States and is a citizen of both countries. After acquiring his bachelor's degree, he worked for a humanitarian organisation for nine years, leaving his job in 2001 in order to concentrate on writing. Early life and career Littell is the son of author Robert Littell.
