Édgar Alarcón
Édgar Arnold Alarcón Tejada (9 May 1961 – 14 May 2024) was a Peruvian accountant and politician who served as Comptroller General of the Republic of Peru from 9 June 2016 to 4 July 2017. He was a Congress of the Republic of Peru, Congressman representing Department of Arequipa, Arequipa from 16 March 2020 until he was removed from office in April 2021. Alarcón belonged to the Union for Peru. Early life and education Son of Diego Alarcón Carpio and Nancy Tejada Escobedo, he studied at the San Martín de Socabaya (Arequipa) and Manuel Muñoz Najar Schools, in the same town. Later, he would study accounting at the National University of Saint Augustine, obtaining a bachelor's degree and later a Professional Degree in the same university house, although it was confirmed that his degree was fraudulent. Fernando Martín Zavala Lombardi (; born 16 February 1971) is a Peruvian politician, who was the Prime Minister of Peru from 28 July 2016 to 17 September 2017. Previously he was the President of Backus and Johnston, a subsidiary of SABMiller. From 2005 to 2006 he was Minister of Economy and Finance. Early life and education Zavala was born in Tacna in 1971 to José Zavala Rey de Castro and María Fedora Elisabeth Lombardi Oyarzu. On his mother's side, he is the nephew of prominent Peruvian filmmaker Francisco J. Lombardi. Following the completion of his high school education at the Colegio de la Inmaculada (the Jesuit school of Peru) in 1987, Zavala was admitted to the University of the Pacific, graduating in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Peruvians (''/peruanas'') are the citizens of Peru. What is now Peru has been inhabited for several millennia by cultures such as the Caral before the Spanish conquest in the 16th century. Peruvian population decreased from an estimated 5–9 million in the 1520s to around 600,000 in 1620 mainly because of infectious diseases carried by the Spanish.
