Ibolya Oláh
Ibolya Oláh (born 31 January 1978) is a Hungarian pop singer. She was the runner-up of the first series of Hungarian television singing competition series ''Megasztár''. Early life and career Ibolya is of Romani people, Romani ancestry. She was born in NyÃregyháza and grew up in an orphanage in Tiszadob, where she studied vegetable gardening. She briefly attended a music school in Budapest but did not finish it. She learned to sing and to play the guitar mostly by herself. After a few unsuccessful entries at talent contests, she entered the talent show ''Megasztár'' (in its first season during 2003/04) and came second after Vera Tóth. Her debut album, released in 2004, reached No. 1 on the Hungarian album chart and stayed on the chart for 41 weeks. Megasztár
''Megasztár – Voice of the Year'' is a Hungarian music talent show that started in 2003 on TV2. While it is widely considered an unlicensed clone of the British television show ''Pop Idol'' (and sometimes even referred to as ''Hungarian Idol''), TV2 maintains that it is a distinct format created by SBS management member Christoph Buerge. The sixth season was the last, because TV2 bought the license of '' The Voice''. On 21 February 2024, TV2 announced that after 12 years, Megasztár would return to the screen with a new season. Impact The show is notable for not only stirring up but, in the end, radically changing the pop music world in the Hungary of the 2000s, often criticized due to the lack of original talent that ''Megasztár'' set out to find. AlegrÃa (Cirque Du Soleil Song)
"AlegrÃa" is a pop song by Cirque du Soleil (from their show of the same name), which was recorded in 1994 with the voice of Francesca Gagnon. The song is a multi-lingual adaptation (in English, Italian and Spanish) of another Cirque du Soleil song titled "Un pazzo gridar", written by René Dupéré and Franco Dragone and featuring Italian-only lyrics. "Un pazzo gridar" is also a song from the show AlegrÃa. In 1999, Cirque du Soleil recorded a new version of the song for their film "AlegrÃa, the Film".
