École secondaire Joseph-François-Perrault is a francophone public mixed secondary school in Montreal, Quebec, located in the heart of the Saint-Michel district in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough and operated by the Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM). The school was established in 1966. Montreal Catholic School Commission
The Montreal Catholic School Commission (Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal, CECM) was a Roman Catholic school district in Montreal, Quebec, Canada which operated both French-language and English-language schools. It was the largest school board in Quebec, and was created on June 9, 1846, at the same time as a Protestant school commission, which became the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal. When Quebec's religious "confessional" school boards were replaced by linguistic ones in 1998, the French-language schools and the board's headquarters were turned over to the Commission scolaire de Montréal and its English-language schools to the English Montreal School Board. Marco Calliari
Marco Calliari is a singer-songwriter born in Quebec from Italian parents. He began his career in 1989 in forming the thrash metal group Anonymus alongside Carlos Araya and brothers Daniel and Oscar Souto. Since 2003, he pursued a solo career that has so far released three albums: ''Che la vita'', ''Mia dolce vita'', and ''Al faro est''. With his first album, ''Che la vita'', Calliari found a way to reconnect with his parents' country of origin. The album, based on Italian folklore and jazz influences, won Calliari the Galaxy award in the summer of 2004, given by the CBC at a music festival in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and was nominated at the Gala MIMI in 2005. Sylvie Fréchette
Sylvie Fréchette, (born 27 June 1967 in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian former synchronised swimmer. She is the 1992 Olympic champion in the women's solo event. Career Fréchette competed in the women's solo at the 1992 Summer Olympics. In the technical figures routine, a Brazilian judge accidentally entered a score of 8.7 instead of 9.7, costing her first place; after several appeals by the Canadian Olympic Committee, her medal was upgraded to gold. Kristen Babb-Sprague, the beneficiary of the judge's error, was allowed to keep her gold medal. Fréchette's success in the pool continued with a silver medal in the women's team event at the following Olympics. In 1999, she was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.
