Éamonn Scallan
Éamonn Scallan (born 1972) is an Irish hurling coach and former player. At club level, he played with Castletown Liam Mellows GAA, Castletown Liam Mellows and Ferns St Aidan's GAA, Ferns St Aidan's and at inter-county level was a member of the Wexford senior hurling team. Scallan has also served as a manager at club and inter-county levels. Playing career Scallan first played hurling to a high standard as a student at Gorey CBS. He lined out in all grades during his time there, and was part of the team beaten by St Augustine's and Good Counsel College, New Ross, Good Counsel College in the Leinster Colleges JBHC final in 1988. Scallan later won a Fitzgibbon Cup medal with UCD GAA, University College Dublin in 1993. At club level, Scallan first played for the Castletown Liam Mellows GAA, Castletown Liam Mellows club as a dual player in the juvenile and underage grades before progressing to adult level. Castletown Liam Mellows Gaelic Athletic Association is a Gaelic football and ladies' Gaelic football club based in Castletown, County Wexford, Castletown, County Wexford, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. History Castletown Liam Mellows are named for the Irish revolutionary Liam Mellows (1892–1922), who is buried in Castletown, County Wexford, Castletown; his mother was from nearby Inch, County Wexford, Inch. The 1996 All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship was the 75th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1912. The championship began on 26 May 1996 and ended on 14 September 1996. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest-tier competition for inter-county hurling in Ireland and has been contested in every year except one since 1887 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, 1887. Wicklow Senior Hurling Team
The Wicklow county hurling team represents Wicklow in hurling and is governed by Wicklow GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. Éire Óg Greystones GAA Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club with approximately 600 members and 20 different teams competing in Hurling, Gaelic Football, and Ladies Football in Wicklow League and Championship competitions. It comprises adult and juvenile sections. The majority of the clubs members are juveniles, both girls and boys, playing football and hurling. Some of the clubs most notable honours include football and hurling intermediate county championships in 2011 and 2013 respectively, a Leinster intermediate football championship and the club has also won the All Ireland Féile on two occasions in 2007 and 2016. Mount Leinster Rangers GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Borris, County Carlow, Ireland. The club was founded in 1987 and fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling. Colm Bonnar
Colm Bonnar (born 12 June 1964) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He is the former manager of the Tipperary senior hurling team having served as manager from September 2021 to July 2022. He is also the former manager of the Carlow senior hurling team. Bonnar played for club sides Cashel King Cormacs and Dunhill and was a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team for 13 seasons, during which time he usually lined out at midfield. Bonnar began his hurling career at club level with Cashel King Cormacs. He broke onto the club's top adult team after championship success in the minor and under-21 grades. Bonnar enjoyed his greatest success when he captained the club to the 1991 Munster Club Championship. He later transferred to the Dunhill club in Waterford. Rathnure St Anne's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathnure, County Wexford, Ireland. Rathnure's most famous players are the Rackards and Quigley brothers. First AGM At a meeting in Rathnure in the year 1931, Rathnure St Anne's GAA Club was founded. The Wexford Intermediate Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as The Courtyard Ferns Intermediate Hurling Championship) is an annual hurling competition contested by mid-tier Wexford GAA clubs.
