Çiğdem Belci (born 17 June 1987) is a Turkish women's soccer, women's football Defender (association football), defender currently playing in the Turkish Women's Football Super League, Women's Super League for Galatasaray S.K. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı (29 January 1940 – 2 March 2017) was a Turkish scientist and professor. She was a university professor since 1969 and received the APA Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology in 1993. Early life and education Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı was born in Bursa, Turkey on 29 January 1940. In 1959, she completed high school at American College for Girls in Istanbul before moving to the United States for her post-secondary studies. In the US, Kağıtçıbaşı completed a bachelor's degree at Wellesley College in 1961 and a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley in 1967 specializing in social psychology. Çiğdem Özyaman (born 7 October 1985 in Düzce, Turkey), also known as Çiğdem Özyaman Özenir after her marriage, is a Turkish sport shooter competing in the skeet event. Çiğdem Talu
Çiğdem Talu (October 31, 1939 – May 28, 1983) was a Turkish poet and lyricist. The writer Ercüment Ekrem Talu was her grandfather. Çiğdem wrote her first song "''Ağlıyorum Yine''", which was sung by Nilüfer and released on her single, "''Kalbim Bir Pusula''". The great success of this song led her to write songs for many other singers, among them for Yeliz and Füsun Önal. Turkey participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 held in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time, and three songs written by Talu were in the qualification in Ankara. That year, she met composer Melih Kibar and they started to make music together. Their first song, "''İşte Öyle Bir Şey''" sung by Erol Evgin was a great hit. Çiğdem Dede (born 27 February 1980, in Gaziantep, Turkey) is a Turkish powerlifter competing in the −44 kg division. She won the silver medal at the 2012 Paralympics. She is a dwarf athlete of Ankara Guven Spor, where she is coached by Mustafa Doğan. She became paralyzed at the age of six due to wrong injection given to her leg. Cigdem Akyol (born October 1978) is a German journalist and author of Turkish-Kurdish ancestry. Biography Akyols parents moved from Turkey to Germany in 1973 and settled in the Ruhr region in Herne. Akyol grew up in Herne, where she attended the Haranni- Gymnasium (high school). After her graduation in 1998 she studied international law and Eastern European history at the University of Cologne.
