Çetin Özaçıkgöz
Çetin Özaçıkgöz (born 1943) is a Turkish politician and lawyer who currently serves as the leader of the True Path Party (DYP) in Turkey. Özaçıkgöz re-established the DYP in 2007 after the original True Path Party changed its name to Democratic Party (DP). Early life and career Özaçıkgöz worked for the ''Yeni Çığır'' magazine in 1964 before becoming the President of the Justice Party (AP) youth wing in Bolu Province in 1968. Moving to Ankara in 1969, he worked at the AP headquarters on electoral matters before becoming the head of public relations at the Ministry of Public Works in 1970. He served as the head of public relations for a year until 1971, after which he became the President of the AP Youth Wing until 1974. True Path Party (2007)
The True Path Party (), abbreviated to DYP, is a centre-right, conservative Turkish political party, established by the lawyer Çetin Özaçıkgöz in 2007. It got 0.15% of the votes in the general elections of 2011. It is not to be confused with the original True Path Party founded in 1983 by Ahmet Nusret Tuna, which was renamed to Democrat Party in 2007. Tansu Çiller
Tansu Çiller (; born 24 May 1946) is a Turkish academic, economist, and politician who served as the 22nd Prime Minister of Turkey from 1993 to 1996. She was Turkey's first and only female prime minister. As the leader of the True Path Party, she went on to concurrently serve as Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and as Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1996 and 1997. As a Professor of Economics, Çiller was appointed Minister of State for the economy by Prime Minister Süleyman Demirel in 1991. When Demirel was elected as President in 1993, Çiller succeeded him as leader of the True Path Party and Prime Minister. Motherland Party (Turkey)
The Motherland Party (, ANAP) was a political party in Turkey. It was founded in 1983 by Turgut Özal. It merged with the Democrat Party in October 2009. The ANAP was considered a centre-right neoliberal and liberal conservative party that supported restrictions on the role that government can play in the economy and also supported private capital and enterprise and some public expressions of religion. In social policy, it emphasised Islamic values, but represented a different, modern understanding of Islam compared to the Islamist parties; in economic policy it advocated liberalisation and a free market economy.
