At the 2013 local election, the list ran with 11 candidates in Ærø Municipality. They got 14.4% of the votes in that municipality, which resulted in two municipal seats. Ærø
Ærø () is one of the Denmark, Danish Baltic Sea islands, and part of the Region of Southern Denmark, Southern Denmark Region. Since 1 January 2006 all of Ærø has constituted a single Municipalities of Denmark, municipality, known as Ærø Municipality, Ærø Kommune. Before that date, there were two municipalities on the island: Ærøskøbing Municipality, Ærøskøbing Kommune in the west and Marstal Municipality, Marstal Kommune in the east. This merger was part of a reform of the public sector with the laws being effective as of 26 June 2005. This merger was allowed to happen one year before the other municipalities merged as there had already been an island-wide referendum with a majority of voters for the merger. In a 2010 survey, readers of the Danish newspaper ''Kristeligt Dagblad'' voted Ærø as Denmark's third most wonderful island, behind only Fur (island), Fur and Læsø. Regionalism (politics)
Regionalism is a political ideology that seeks to increase the political power, influence and self-determination of the people of one or more subnational regions. It focuses on the "development of a political or social system based on one or more" regions, and/or the national, normative, or economic interests of a specific region, group of regions or another subnational entity, gaining strength from or aiming to strengthen the "consciousness of and loyalty to a distinct region with a homogeneous population", similarly to nationalism. Local and regional parties in Denmark are commonly knowns as local lists, citizens' lists or common lists (Danish: ''lokallister, borgerlister and fælleslister''). Ærø Municipality
Ærø Municipality () is a '' kommune'' occupying the 88 km² island of Ærø in Denmark in the Region of Southern Denmark as of 1 January 2007, and in 2006 in Funen County. The municipality also encompasses Birkholm and the uninhabited islands Lilleø, Dejrø and Halmø. The first mayor of Ærø (2006-09;2014-17) was Jørgen Otto Jørgensen (born 21 December 1950, Marstal) a member of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') political party, until 2005 mayor of Ærøskøbing Municipality. As of 1 January 2022 the mayor is Peter Hansted (born 12 January 1956, Lyngby) representing the Social Democrats.
