Æon Spoke
Æon Spoke is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles. It was created by members of Cynic (band), Cynic and former members of Death (metal band), Death, Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert, when they relocated from Miami to Los Angeles. In 2005 the track, "Emmanuel", appeared in the film ''What the Bleep Do We Know!?''. Two of their tracks, "Damaged" and "Transform" also appeared on the Warner Brothers television series ''Smallville (TV series), Smallville'' and ''One Tree Hill (TV series), One Tree Hill'' respectively. Also another song by Æon Spoke, "I've Seen Those Eyes", appeared in the movie ''Cry Wolf (2005 film), Cry Wolf''. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Post-rock is a subgenre of experimental rock that emphasizes Texture (music), texture, atmosphere, and non-traditional song structures over conventional rock techniques. Paul Albert Masvidal (born January 20, 1971) is an American musician, best known as the guitarist, singer and a founding member of the progressive metal band Cynic (band), Cynic. He has remained a continual member in Cynic for nearly three decades and has developed numerous other projects including Æon Spoke, Onward with Love, and Masvidal (a solo project). Sean Reinert
Sean Landon Reinert (May 27, 1971 – January 24, 2020) was an American musician. He was the drummer for the rock band Æon Spoke and the drummer and cofounder of the progressive metal band Cynic along with Paul Masvidal until leaving the band in September 2015. Career In 1991, Reinert and Paul Masvidal (also of Cynic) joined the band Death to record the ''Human'' album. This album is seen by many as the start of the technical death metal genre. After touring with Death, he returned to Cynic. 1993 saw the release of ''Focus'' (regarded as a landmark release in the field of technical/progressive metal) on the Roadrunner Records label. Roadrunner re-released it in 2005 as a special collector's edition due to high demand. Paul Hepker
Paul Hepker (born in Harare, Zimbabwe on 17 December 1967) is a South African composer, musical director, pianist, best known for composing the score (with Mark Kilian) for the film Tsotsi, which won the Academy Award for Foreign Language Film at the 78th Academy Awards in 2005. Hepker and Kilian also wrote the score for Rendition, the Gavin Hood film starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep amongst others. Hepker and Kilian also co-composed the score for " The Bird Can’t Fly" by Dutch director Threes Anna. Hepker wrote the music for the AIDs documentary "Into the Light" which featured the voice of Kenyan artist Ayub Ogada.
