''Åshöjdens BK'' is a book series about a fictional association football, football club in northwestern Scania, Sweden, created by Max Lundgren. It also appeared as a comic strip in Buster (sport comic), Buster. Plot Appearing in a series of four novels, it depicts a football club being promoted across a promotion and relegation-based Swedish football league system, Swedish league system before losing the Allsvenskan qualifying game. In 1985, a Åshöjdens BK (TV series), TV series based on the book series was made. Sometimes, sports journalists talk of the "real Åshöjdens BK" when a club, often in rural districts, within some seasons is quickly promoted from the lower to higher divisions. SVT2 (SVT Två; commonly referred to as Tvåan), is one of the two main television channels broadcast by Sveriges Television in Sweden. Launched in 1969 by Sveriges Radio, the channel was until the 1990s the most watched in Sweden but now serves as SVT's specialist television network, carrying more highbrow and minority programming compared to the more mainstream SVT1. Max Lundgren
Max Lundgren (22 March 1937 – 27 May 2005) was a Swedish author of children's books. He debuted in 1962 with the book '' Hunden som äntligen visslade'', and wrote over 50 books. Some of his books have become TV series, among other ''Pojken med guldbyxorna'' and his books about fictional Swedish football club ''Åshöjdens BK''.
