Hylte Municipality
Hylte Municipality () is the only inland municipality of Halland County in southwest Sweden. The industrial town Hyltebruk is the seat of the municipality. The first Hylte Municipality was created in 1952 through the amalgamation of three minor units in Jönköping County. In 1974 further amalgamations took place and the county boundary was redrawn. Geography The municipality straddles the boundary of two historic provinces, Halland and Småland. Localities There are 6 urban areas (also called a Tätort or locality) in Hylte Municipality. Slöinge
Slöinge is a locality situated in Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 950 inhabitants in 2010. Archeological excavations has revealed a chieftain estate from the 8th century; among the remains is a large number of golden figures. Two comparatively large companies, SIA Glass and Berte Quarn, have their headquarters in the village. The 1971 World Table Tennis Championships singles champion Stellan Bengtsson Stellan Bengtsson (born 26 July 1952) is a Swedish former table tennis player. Askome
Askome () is a village and former parish in Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County. Geography and geology Askome is situated at the eastern bank of the river Ätran. The parish had an area of 32.82 km2, of which 31.16 km2 was land. The parish was delimited by the river to then north and the west, except for a small area that used to be an ait. The island belonged to Ljungby, and still does so, even though it is now on the "wrong" side of the river. The parish bordered Vessige in the south and Gällared and Krogsered in the north and north east. The cultivated land is mainly along river Ätran and downstream Ätrafors, while the remainder is forested. The bedrock consists of gneiss. The forested area is dominated by till, while the cultivated areas consists of gravel and clay. Abild
Abild () is a village and parish in Falkenberg Municipality, Sweden. The parish is a part of Slöinge rectory. Abild is first mentioned in writing in 1431, it was then written ''Apulde''. The origin of the name is probably the old Hallandic word for wild apples, '. Hjuleberg Mansion is located within the parish. Geography SuseÃ¥n, a small river, flows through the eastern parts of the parish. A lake, ''Mossjön'', can be found in the central parts. History No stone age graves has been found. Some other remains, such as flint axes have however been found. There are some finds from the Roman Iron Age and the migration period, the most spectacular being an 18 gram golden ring.
