Åke Sagrén
Lieutenant General Karl Åke Sagrén (26 January 1935 – 12 December 2022) was a Swedish Army officer. He was Chief of the Army from 1990 to 1994 and Chief of Army Command from 1994 to 1996. Early life Sagrén was born on 26 January 1935 in Motala, Sweden, the son of Karl Sagrén, an engineer, and his wife Annie (née Myrman). His father joined the Home Guard, the first day it was established and at the age of 15, Sagrén knew that he wanted to become an officer. Sagrén passed ''studentexamen'' in 1955 and became an officer in 1958. Career Military career Sagrén served at the Life Grenadier Regiment (I 4) and the Army Ranger School from 1958 to 1967 and was completed the higher course of the Swedish Armed Forces Staff College from 1967 to 1969. Motala () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Motala Municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden with a municipal population of 43,717 inhabitants in 2024. Sollefteå () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Sollefteå Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden. History The earliest written account on Sollefteå is found in a script dating back to 1270. During this time the name of the village was given as De Solatum - a name that can be interpreted as a composition of ''Sol'' (sun) and ''at'' (property) i.e. literally The sunlit region. Major General Berndt Karl Allan Grundevik (born 5 November 1956) is senior retired Swedish Army officer. Grundevik served as Inspector of the Army (2007–2012), as head of the Swedish Delegation to the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC) in Korea (2013–2015) and as Deputy Chief of Joint Operations (2016–2017). Career Grundevik started his military career as a conscript at Bohuslän Regiment (I 17) in Uddevalla in 1976. Sverker Göranson
General Sverker John Olof Göranson (born 3 May 1954) is a retired Swedish Army officer. Sverkerson was commissioned as an officer in 1977. During the 1990s, Göranson embarked on an international career. He completed the Swedish National Defence College's Command Course and attended several courses in international humanitarian law before relocating to the United States Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. In 1994, he also completed the United Nations Staff Officers Course. Degerlund's senior commands include Inspector General of the Swedish Army and commanding officer of the Southern Military District. Karolinska förbundet is a Swedish learned society for the study of the Caroline era in Swedish history, i.e. the rule of kings Charles X, Charles XI and Charles XII, 1654–1718.
