Jan Åge Fjørtoft
Jan Åge Fjørtoft (born 10 January 1967) is a Norwegian former professional footballer. A powerful centre forward with goalscoring ability, he played professionally in Norway, Austria, England and Germany. In total, he scored 308 goals in 614 games in these four countries. He made 71 appearances for the Norwegian National Team, captaining the squad in 15 of them, and scored 20 goals for the Norway national team. A pinnacle moment in his national team career was the qualification and participation in the 1994 World Cup held in the US. This marked Norway's return to the World Cup stage for the first time since 1938. His nickname was ''Fjøra'' (lit. "The Feather"). Åge Fridtjof Hareide (born 23 September 1953) is a Norwegian former football coach and player who last managed the Iceland national team. In his playing career, he played for Hødd and Molde in Norway as well as Manchester City and Norwich City in England. Hareide was capped 50 times playing for Norway. As a coach, Hareide has won league titles in all of the Scandinavian countries, In Sweden with Helsingborgs IF in 1999 and with Malmö FF in 2014, in Denmark with Brøndby in 2001–02 and in his native Norway with Rosenborg in 2003. Hareide was in charge of the Norway national team from 2003 to 2008. While at Malmö during his first time in charge at the club, he notably took the team to the modern-day UEFA Champions League group stages for the first two times in the club's history. Major General Johan August "Åge" Lundström (8 June 1890 – 26 September 1975) was a Swedish Air Force officer and horse rider who competed in the 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics. Early life Lundström was born on 8 June 1890 in Stockholm, Sweden, the son of Ernst Lundström, an artist, and his wife countess Mathilda (née Rudenschöld). Career Military career Lundström was commissioned as an officer in 1910 and was appointed lieutenant in the Life Regiment Dragoons in 1916. He became an air force pilot in 1925 and was appointed captain in the General Staff in 1924 and captain of the Swedish Air Force in 1926. Ã…ge Storhaug (5 April 1938 – 18 April 2012) was a Norwegian gymnast who competed from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. He was born in Klepp and represented the club Klepp IL. He participated at the 1960 Summer Olympics and at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He won several Norwegian championships and Nordic championships. Åge Roar Maridal (11 April 1965 – 19 July 2023) was a Norwegian football midfielder. Maridal began his career at his local side Brattvåg, where he made his first-team debut at age 16, before moving on to second-tier team Hødd in 1986. Praised as Sunnmøre's best player of 1986, he was picked up by first-tier team Start the following year. Following a stint at Namsos, he returned to the first tier in 1991 with Fyllingen. While at Fyllingen, he came on as a substitute in the team's match against Atlético Madrid in the European Cup Winners' Cup. Åge Aleksandersen (born 21 March 1949) is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is one of his country's best known musicians. Some of his most well known songs are "Lys og varme" ("Light and Warmth"), "Fire pils og en pizza" ("Four Beers and a Pizza") and "Rosalita". Åge Rønning (4 October 1925 – 31 January 1991) was a Norwegian writer and journalist. Biography Åge Rønning was born in Oslo, Norway. His parents were Normann Rønning (1888–1974) and Astrid Therese Nielsen (1895–1978). He graduated in 1944 at Vahl School. Ã…ge Hadler (born 14 August 1944) is a Norwegian orienteering competitor, winner of the 1966 and 1972 individual World Orienteering Championships, relay champion from 1970, and individual bronze medalist from 1968. Early life and career Hadler was born in Bergen as the son of Aage Hadler and Ruth Karin Rosendahl. He married fellow orienteer Ingrid Thoresen in 1968. His first sports club was Bergens Turnforening. He studied at the University of Oslo, and graduated as cand.real. degree in 1970.
