Änglagård (film)
''House of Angels'' () is a Swedish drama film which was released to cinemas in Sweden on 21 February 1992, about a little village in Västergötland, Sweden, where an aging recluse lives in a mansion on a large wooded property. One day he is accidentally killed and an unknown relative by the name of Fanny Zander inherits the mansion and land. When she and her friend Zac arrive, they turn life in the staid village upside down. The film was screened out of competition at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival. At the 28th Guldbagge Awards the film won the awards for Best Film and Best Director. It was also nominated for Best Actress (Helena Bergström), Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography (Jens Fischer). The film was selected as the Swedish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 65th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. Colin Nutley
Colin James Nutley (born 28 February 1944) is an English filmmaker who became known for his work in Sweden's film and television industry. Early life Colin James Nutley was born in Gosport on 28 February 1944. He attended an art college in Portsmouth. Career Nutley began his career in British television as a graphic designer. He then turned to drama and documentary filmmaking for ITV, BBC, and Channel 4. He directed the first two episodes of children's television series ''Press Gang'', but was unhappy with the final edit and asked for his name to be removed from the credits. He was the driving force behind Southern Television's ITV-networked children's series '' The Flockton Flyer'', taking personal responsibility for much of the casting and acting as a producer of the first series (1977) before producing and directing the second series (1978).
