José Ángel Hernández (born 17 September 1975) is a Mexican professional boxer. He has held the NABA, NABF and International Boxing Association Americas light middleweight titles. Professional career Hernandez made his professional boxing debut at age 16 on March 29, 1996 with a first-round KO victory over David Pearson. He won his first eight fights by knockout. Hernandez was 13-0 before being defeated by Puerto Rican boxer Wilfredo Rivera. On May 13, 2000, Hernandez won the IBA Americas Jr. Middleweight Title with a twelve-round split decision over Dominican Republic's Julio Cesar De la Cruz. On July 28, 2002, Hernandez defeated Larry Marks for the vacant NABF light middleweight title by split decision. Raymond "Hallelujah" Joval (born 15 September 1968) is a Dutch professional boxer who held the International Boxing Organization middleweight title from 2000 to 2004 and again from 2005 to 2006. Demetrius Cesar Andrade ( ; born February 26, 1988) is an American professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in two weight classes, at light middleweight and middleweight. As an amateur, he won the U.S. national championships and Golden Gloves twice each, a gold medal at the 2007 World Championships, and represented the U.S. at the 2008 Olympics; all in the welterweight division. Amateur career Demetrius Andrade obtained arguably the most successful amateur boxing reputation amongst all Rhode Island fighters in history. Osumamu Adama (born December 24, 1980) is a Ghanaian professional boxer in the middleweight division, and the first middleweight titleholder from Ghana. Early life One of nine children, Osamamu grew up in Accra into a large family, and helped to take care of his six sisters and two brothers. His late mother worked in a grocery store, and his father worked in an ice cream factory. Osumamu attended Kotobabi Technical Institute High School in Accra, and earned a four-year college diploma in mechanical engineering. He later worked as a mechanical engineer for a company in Accra. International Boxing Organization
The International Boxing Organization (IBO) is a US based corporation that sanctions professional boxing matches and awards world and regional championships. It is an independent organization not recognized by the "big four" governing bodies ( WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO), who only recognize each other in their rankings and title unification rules. Despite this, as of 2023, IBO titles have been unified with titles of the other bodies in several weight divisions.
