Ángel Castro (pitcher)
Ángel M. Castro (born November 14, 1982) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Career Detroit Tigers Castro attended Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma. The Detroit Tigers drafted Castro in the 13th round, with the 382nd overall selection, of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Tigers. Castro split the 2007 season between the Single–A West Michigan Whitecaps and High–A Lakeland Flying Tigers. In 27 games (25 starts) between the two affiliates, he accumulated an 11–6 record and 3.39 ERA with 78 strikeouts across innings pitched. The Montgomery Biscuits are a Minor League Baseball team based in Montgomery, Alabama. They are the Double-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and play in the Southern League. The Charlotte Stone Crabs were a Minor League Baseball team located in Port Charlotte, Florida, from 2009 to 2020. They competed in the Florida State League (FSL) as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays Major League Baseball (MLB) team. They played their home games at Charlotte Sports Park and were named for the Florida stone crab, which is indigenous to the Charlotte County region. Bullpen
In baseball, the bullpen (or simply the pen) is the area where relief pitchers warm up before entering a game. A team's roster of relief pitchers is also metonymically referred to as "the bullpen". These pitchers usually wait in the bullpen if they have not yet played in a game, rather than in the dugout with the rest of the team.
