Álvaro Rivero
Álvaro Rivero Sánchez (born 17 April 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Torre del Mar. Early life Rivero was born in Madrid, and began playing organised football in 2003 with local club Lugo Fuenlabrada. Club career Real Madrid In 2005, Rivero joined the academy system of Real Madrid. On 7 December 2014, he made his senior debut with Real Madrid C in the Tercera División in a match against Atlético Madrid C. On 1 March 2015, he scored his first senior goal for the C team in a match against Internacional de Madrid. He made a total of nine appearances for the C team that season, scoring one goal. In the 2015–16 season, Rivero played for Real Madrid's U19 side in the UEFA Youth League, scoring two goals in four continental appearances. UEFA Youth League
The UEFA Youth League is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) since 2013. In its current format, it is contested by the under-19 teams of the clubs competing in the UEFA Champions League league phase, plus the domestic youth champions of the best-ranked national associations. The semi-finals and final matches have been traditionally played at the Colovray Stadium in Nyon, Switzerland, although for the 2022–23 edition, they were moved to the Stade de Genève due to increased interest in the tournament from the supporters of the participating clubs. The 2019–20 Tercera División is the fourth tier of Spanish football. It began in August 2019 and was supposed to end in late June 2020 with the promotion play-off finals. On 11 March 2020, the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the leagues, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. On 11 March 2020, the season of Segunda División B was suspended due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. The 2019 Tercera División play-offs to Segunda División B from Tercera División (Promotion play-offs) were the final playoffs for the promotion from 2018–19 Tercera División to 2019–20 Segunda División B. The first four teams in each group took part in the play-off. Format The eighteen group winners have the opportunity to be promoted directly to Segunda División B. 2021 Canadian Premier League Season
The 2021 Canadian Premier League season was the third season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Forge FC were defending champions, after defeating HFX Wanderers FC in the 2020 final. The season was planned to commence on May 22, the Victoria Day weekend, pending the approval of government authorities and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. However, on May 14, it was announced that the start was to be pushed back to mid-June or early July. On June 5, the league committed to a full 28-match season, but that the season would begin in a single-site bubble at IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba, promoted as "The Kickoff", with each team playing eight matches between June 26 and July 24.
