Álvaro Fidalgo Fernández (born 9 April 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga MX club América. Club career Real Madrid Born in Hevia, Siero, Asturias, Fidalgo joined Real Madrid's La Fábrica in 2012, from Sporting de Gijón. On 21 June 2016, after finishing his formation, he was loaned to Segunda División B side CF Rayo Majadahonda for the season. Fidalgo made his senior debut on 20 August 2016, starting in a 0–0 draw against Sestao River Club. In July 2017, after being a regular starter, he returned to his parent club and was assigned to the reserves also in the third division. Fidalgo made his first team debut for Real Madrid on 6 December 2018, coming on as a late substitute for Vinícius Júnior in a 6–1 home routing of UD Melilla, for the season's Copa del Rey. Siero is a municipality of the autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain. With a population of 52,194 as of 2023, Siero is the fourth most populous municipality in Asturias. 2019–20 Segunda División B
The 2019–20 Segunda División B season was the 43rd since its establishment. Eighty teams participated, distributed in four groups of twenty clubs each. On 11 March 2020, the season of Segunda División B was suspended due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. Also, the expansion of the league to five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season (due to promotion from the curtailed Tercera División groups being applied) was approved. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender).
