Álvaro Fernández Llorente (born 13 April 1998) is a Spanish professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for La Liga club Sevilla FC, Sevilla. Club career Born in Arnedo, La Rioja (Spain), La Rioja, Fernández was invited to play for Real Sociedad in several youth tournaments before signing for CA Osasuna aged 15. He made his senior debut with CA Osasuna B, the reserves on 12 April 2015, starting in a 1–1 away draw against CD Izarra in the Tercera División. On 25 September 2016 Fernández made his La Liga debut, coming on as a second-half Substitute (association football), substitute for the injured Mario Fernández (footballer, born 1988), Mario Fernández in a 3–1 loss at Villarreal CF. Arnedo
Arnedo is the third largest town in La Rioja, Spain. It is located near Calahorra, and has a population of about 15,000 people. Its economy is based on the shoe industry. History The area of Arnedo has been inhabited as early as the Neolithic Age. In pre-Roman times it was known as Sadacia or Sidacia, while the current name derives from the Latin ''Arenetum'' ("Place of sand"); the Romans, who arrived here in the 2nd century BC replacing the Celtiberians, built here a fortification to defend the hill, which commanded an important communication hub. Of the Visigothic Age are remains of a 6th-century cave-church. The Moors conquered Arnedo in the 8th century AD and made it the capital of one of the 26 provinces in which they divided Iberia.
