Águeda Marqués
Águeda Marqués Muñoz (born Águeda Muñoz Marqués; 19 March 1999) is a Spanish track and field athlete who competes primarily over 1500m on the track, but also competes as a cross-country runner. Early life From Segovia, Castile and León, Marqués was a promising youngster, winning the silver medal in the 1000 metres for her age group at the Spanish championships in 2014. In February 2020 she was bronze medalist in the Spanish under-23 indoors championships over 3000m. She became the under-23 champion of Spain over 800 metres on 30 September 2020. Career Track Marqués ran in the 1500m at the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Torun, Poland, and qualified for the final after running a personal best time of 4:09:94 in the heats. 2016 European Athletics Youth Championships
The 2016 European Athletics Youth Championships was the first edition of the biennial, continental athletics competition for European athletes aged fifteen to seventeen. It was held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 14 to 17 July and was established following the 2013 Congress of the EAA in Skopje. The event programme mirrored that of the previous IAAF World Youth Championships in Athletics, with the exception of a boy's decathlon, rather than the octathlon. Around 900 athletes from 46 European Athletics Member Federations took part. This was the only edition of the championships to be described as "Youth Championships". World and European Athletics hereafter changed their nomenclature from "Youth" and "Junior" to "Under-18" and "Under-20" respectively. 2025 Diamond League
The 2025 Diamond League is the sixteenth season of the annual series of outdoor track and field meetings, organised by World Athletics. The competition is a revision to the top level athletics series since Diamond League foundation in 2010. The number of Diamond Discipline events is 32. Each meeting will host a number of Diamond Discipline events and some of these events will not be broadcast. Events losing Diamond Discipline status will feature on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the second tier of track and field meetings. Starting in 2025 each meeting will nominate 4 events (2 male and 2 female) to be Diamond+ Disciplines, these events will have increased levels of prize money this will mean at regular meetings a doubling of the 1st place prize from $10,000 to $20,000 and at the Diamond League Finals an increase to $50,000.
