¡Mayday! (stylized in all caps as ¡MAYD∀Y!) is an American hip hop group from Miami, Florida. The group comprises rappers Bernardo "Bernz" Garcia and Ben "Wrekonize" Miller, along with producer and percussionist Andrews "NonMS" Mujica. Until 2015, the group also included keyboard player and guitarist Aaron Eckhart (a.k.a. Plex Luthor), drummer Terrel (a.k.a. L T Hopkins), and bassist Gianni Perocapi (a.k.a. Gianni Ca$h). The band was formerly signed to Tech N9ne and Travis O'Guin's Strange Music label. As of May 1, 2022, all future releases will be on their own label Mayday Music distributed by It Goes Up. Career Foundation and Early Days (2003–2009) The group was founded by Plex Luthor and Bernz in Miami, 2003. Wrekonize
Benjamin Miller (born 5 May 1983), better known by his stage name Wrekonize, is an American underground rapper and current member of Miami band ¡Mayday!. He is currently signed to the record label Mayday Music, after previously being signed to Tech N9ne's Strange Music. Early life Benjamin Miller was born in London and raised in a household of both British and African descent. His mother was England-born and his father had immigrated to England from Cape Town, South Africa. After moving to Miami, Florida, in 1988, Miller's parents had formed a local band together. They performed on occasion with MC Guru for his original ''Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1, Jazzmatazz'' album. At the age of 11, Wrekonize was introduced to Guru, who helped inspire him to make his own music. Fragile (Tech N9ne Song)
"Fragile" is a song by American rapper Tech N9ne, taken from his thirteenth studio album '' Something Else'' (2013). "Fragile" was released on July 17, 2013 as the album's second single. It was produced by ¡Mayday!, Daniel "Keys" Perez, Ralfy "FAFA" Valencia and Michele Goodfriend. The song features vocals from Kendrick Lamar, ¡Mayday! and Kendall Morgan. "Fragile" details each rappers disdain for music journalists and their criticism of their music. Ironically, the song was met with generally positive reviews from music critics. The song peaked at number 38 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. A music video was released on February 9, 2014 featuring the artists rapping and singing in an abandoned warehouse.
