.22 TCM
The .22 TCM (Tuason, Craig, Micromagnum) is a proprietary bottlenecked rimless cartridge derived from a 5.56×45mm NATO (.223 Remington) parent case. It was developed by custom gunsmith Fred Craig in collaboration with Martin Tuason, the President of Rock Island Armory (RIA) and Armscor. The cartridge is primarily used in Rock Island Armory M1911 pistols and the M22 TCM bolt-action rifle. Initially known as the .22 Micro-Mag, the .22 TCM is conceptually similar to other bottlenecked pistol cartridges, such as the 7.62×25mm Tokarev and the FN 5.7×28mm. The design prioritizes high velocity and reduced recoil by trading bullet mass for speed, making it suitable for various applications. Design and features The .22 TCM is based on the 5.56×45mm NATO case, shortened to match the overall cartridge length of the .38 Super. This design results in a cartridge approximately 3 mm longer than a standard 9×19mm round. The .22 TCM was specifically engineered for the Rock Island ...

CZ-75
The CZ 75 is a semi-automatic pistol made by Czech firearm manufacturer ČZUB. First introduced in 1975, it is one of the original " wonder nines" and features a staggered-column magazine, all-steel construction, and a hammer forged barrel. It is widely distributed throughout the world and is the most common handgun in the Czech Republic. Firearms expert Colonel Jeff Cooper considered the CZ 75, at least its original version (short rail), to be the best 9mm service pistol ever made. History Development of CZ 75 The armament industry was an important part of the interwar Czechoslovak economy and made up a large part of the country's exports. However following the 1948 communist coup d'état, all heavy industry was nationalized and was cut off from its Western export market behind the Iron Curtain. While most other Warsaw Pact countries became dependent on armaments imports from the Soviet Union, most of the Czechoslovak weaponry remained domestic (for example, the Czechoslova ...

224 Boz
4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern. The Arabs' 4 still had the early concept of the cross, but for the sake of efficiency, was made in one stroke by connecting the "western" end to the "northern" end; the "eastern" end was finished off with a curve. The Europeans dropped the finishing curve and gradually made the digit less cursive, ending up with a digit very close to the original Brahmin cross. While the shape of the character f ...

221 Remington Fireball
1 (one, unit, unity) is a number, numeral, and glyph. It is the first and smallest positive integer of the infinite sequence of natural numbers. This fundamental property has led to its unique uses in other fields, ranging from science to sports, where it commonly denotes the first, leading, or top thing in a group. 1 is the unit of counting or measurement, a determiner for singular nouns, and a gender-neutral pronoun. Historically, the representation of 1 evolved from ancient Sumerian and Babylonian symbols to the modern Arabic numeral. In mathematics, 1 is the multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number. In digital technology, 1 represents the "on" state in binary code, the foundation of computing. Philosophically, 1 symbolizes the ultimate reality or source of existence in various traditions. In mathematics The number 1 is the first natural number after 0. Each natural number, ...

Direct Impingement
Direct impingement is a type of gas operation for a firearm that utilizes gas from a fired cartridge to impart force on the bolt carrier or slide assembly to cycle the action. Firearms using direct impingement are theoretically lighter, more accurate, and less expensive than firearms using cleaner and cooler gas piston systems. Advantages Firearms with a direct impingement design can, in principle, be constructed lighter than piston-operated designs. Because high-pressure gas acts directly upon the bolt and carrier in a direct impingement system, it does not need a separate gas cylinder, piston, and operating rod assembly of a conventional piston-operated system, only requiring a gas tube to channel gas from the barrel back towards the action. This saves weight, lowers manufacturing costs, and reduces the mass of the operating parts, and thereby the wear on mechanical parts due to movement. By removing the gas piston, the potential amount of moving mass is also lowered, decreas ...

Hornady
Hornady Manufacturing Company is an American manufacturer of ammunition cartridges, components and handloading equipments, based in Grand Island, Nebraska. History Joyce W. Hornady began manufacturing bullets in the spring of 1949 with a .30 caliber spire point selling for $4.50 per hundred. Within a year Hornady was producing thirteen different bullets in five different calibers. The Korean War caused material shortages limiting early production. An early innovation was thinner copper jackets for varmint hunting bullets to cause rapid expansion and minimize size of ricochet particles. A new factory was required in 1958 to meet surging demand as returning soldiers used their firearm skills for hunting. A test range in an underground tunnel was built in 1960 to aid development of secant ogive bullets in 1961. The company is currently run by Joyce Hornady's son, Steve Hornady, who took over after his father's death in a plane crash on January 15, 1981. The Piper Aztec, wit ...
