Hundorp is a village in the Gudbrand Valley, Norway. The administrative centre of Sør-Fron, Oppland, Hundorp was also the centre of the petty kingdom of the Gudbrand Valley

and as such important in religion and politics. Dale-Gudbrand's farm, the farm once populated by the ancient ruler Dale-Gudbrand, is the millennium site of Oppland. The name[edit] The Norse form of the name was Hundþorp. The first element is hundr 'great, rich, powerful', the last element is þorp 'farm'.
