Cooking methods

Oncom can be prepared and cooked in various ways. It can be simply deep fried as '' gorengan'' fritters, seasoned and cooked in a banana leaf pouch as pepes, or roasted, seasoned and mixed with steamed rice as '' nasi tutug oncom''.
