Trishul (missile)
Trishul (IAST: triśūla "Trident") is a low-level quick-reaction short range surface-to-air missile developed in India by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as part of the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP). It can also be used as an anti-sea skimmer from naval ship against low flying missile, attack helicopter and aircraft. In 2008, Minister of Defence A. K. Trisul
Trisul is a group of three Himalayan mountain peaks of western Kumaun, Uttarakhand, with the highest (Trisul I) reaching 7120m. The three peaks resemble a trident - in Sanskrit, Trishula, trident, is the weapon of Shiva. The Trishul group forms the southwest corner of the ring of peaks enclosing the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, about west-southwest of Nanda Devi itself. The main peak, Trisul I, was the first peak over to have ever been climbed, in 1907. Description of the massif and neighbouring peaks The three peaks are named Trisul I, Trisul II, and Trisul III. The massif is a north-south ridge, with Trisul I at the north end and Trisul III at the south. The massif runs roughly North-South, and hence appears compressed when viewed from the south (Ranikhet, Kausani), and more stretched out from the Southeast (Chamoli, Bedini Bugyal). Trishula
The ''trishula'' () is a trident, a divine symbol, commonly used as one of the principal symbols in Hinduism. In Nepal and Thailand, the term also often refers to a short-handled weapon which may be mounted on a ''daṇḍa'' " staff". Unlike the Okinawan sai, the ''trishula'' is often bladed. In Indonesian, ''trisula'' usually refers specifically to a long-handled trident, while the diminutive version is more commonly known as a ''cabang'' or ''tekpi''. Trishuli Hydropower Station
Trishuli Hydropower Station is a peaking run-of-river hydropower station located at Trishuli bazaar of Nuwakot district in Nepal. The intake of the plant lies in Rasuwa district.The plant was constructed in 1976 with an installed capacity of 21 MW (7 units, 3 MW each). The plant was upgraded to 37 MW. The project was developed jointly by the Government of India and the Government of Nepal. The project cost was INR 140 million. The annual energy generation is 304.78 GWh.Nepal Electricity Authority, a government-run organization, owns and operates this plant. Another power station Devighat Hydropower Station is a cascade project to this power station. The design flow is 45.66 m3/s and the rated head is 51.4 m. Tirsuli West
Tirsuli West, or Trishuli West, is a Himalayan mountain peak in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It is part of the complex of mountains, including Tirsuli, Hardeol, Dunagiri, Changabang, and Kalanka, which make up the northeast wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, in the Garhwal Himalaya. It lies very near both Tirsuli and Hardeol at the north end of the Johar Valley. Tirsuli West was climbed for the first time in 2001, via the Southwest Ridge, by a team from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. They placed four camps on the route. Bareilly Airport is a domestic airport serving Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India at Indian Air Force's Trishul Air Base in Izzatnagar, located north from the city centre. Terminal 1 Bareilly Airport was inaugurated by state civil aviation minister Nand Gopal Nandi and Union minister Santosh Gangwar on 10 March 2019 at the civil enclave of Trishul Air Base.
