Varberg
Varberg () is a locality and the seat of Varberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 35,782 inhabitants in 2019. Varberg and all of Halland are well known for their "typical west coast" sandy beaches. "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley" was the winning song in the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 performed in Swedish by the trio of brothers Herrey's, representing . Lyrics were written by Britt Lindeborg, and the tune by Torgny Söderberg. It was produced by Anders Engberg and Torgny Söderberg. The Eurovision Song Contest 1984, the 29th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, following the country's victory at the with the song "Si la vie est cadeau" by Corinne Hermes. Sweden held a national preselction named ''Melodifestivalen 1984'' to choose the entry for the Eurovision Song Contest the same year. The winner was the three brothers Herrey, consisting of Richard, Louis and Per. Their song was called "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley", and was written by Britt Lindeborg and Torgny Söderberg. Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1984 Melodifestivalen 1984 was the selection for the 24th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 23rd time that this system of picking a song had been used. 90 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. Britt Lindeborg (22 March 1928 – 5 August 1998) was a Swedish lyricist. She was born in Solna Municipality to Gunnar Karlsson and Elsa Sparring. Her greatest success was probably "Lyckliga gatan", a Swedish version of "Il ragazzo della via Gluck", performed by Anna-Lena Löfgren. She wrote the lyrics for "Judy, min vän", Swedish contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 1969, and she wrote the lyrics for "Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley", winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1984. Lindeborg also wrote the Swedish lyrics for the Lynsey de Paul composed songs "Taste Me" ("Låt dina sinnen få smaka") and "My Man and Me "My Man and Me" is a song written, recorded and produced by the British female singer-songwriter Lynsey de Paul for her second album, '' Taste Me...
