Sangue E Areia
''Sangue e Areia'' is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by TV Globo. It premiered on 18 December 1967 and ended on 25 June 1968. It's the fifth List of 8/9 PM telenovelas of Rede Globo, "novela das oito" to be aired on the timeslot. Plot Juan Gallardo, son of a bullfighter died who in enclosure for bullfighting, decides to follow the steps of his father. With the opposition of his family he goes against it and begins bullfighting and ends up abandoning them altogether. He is later faced with a love triangle with two women: Pillar, a simple young woman who always loved him, and Doña Sol, an aristocrat who is educated and cultured. Cast ''Sangue e Areia'' is the last telenovela by actor Amilton Fernandes, who portrayed the villain Dom Ricardo Fernandes died in a tragic road accident on 8 April 1968. References External links

Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Theresa Amayo
Theresa Guichard Amayo Brasini (13 July 1933 – 24 January 2022) was a Brazilian actress. Life and career Amayo began her career on stage in the 1950s. She was an early star of Brazilian television, first working for Rede Tupi, and then being one of the first actresses who got an exclusive contract by Rede Globo. Her major works include ''Sangue e Areia'' (1967–1968) and ''Pecado Capital'' (1975–1976). The wife of the actor, screenwriter and film director Mário Brasini, in 2004 Amayo lost her daughter, her son-in-law and her grandson in the Indian Ocean tsunami. In 2019 she was awarded best actress at the 52nd edition of the Festival de Brasília for her performance in the film ''Dulcina''. Nelson Xavier
Nelson Agostini Xavier (30 August 1941 – 10 May 2017) was a Brazilian actor. He appeared in more than 95 films and television shows between 1959 and 2017. He starred in the 1964 film ''Os Fuzis'', which won the Silver Bear Extraordinary Jury Prize at the 14th Berlin International Film Festival. In 1976 Xavier co-directed '' A Queda'' along with Ruy Guerra, a sequel to ''Os Fuzis''. It was entered into the 28th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear – Special Jury Prize. Xavier died on 10 May 2017 in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, of a lung disease. Arlete Sales Lopes, more known as Arlette Salles (born Paudalho, 17 June 1942) is a Brazilian actress. Biography Born in the interior of Pernambuco, she was married between 1958 and 1970 to the actor Lucio Mauro, with whom she has two children: Alexander Barbalho (actor) and Gilberto Salles (filmmaker). Nilcedes Soares de Magalhães (née Guimarães; born 19 October 1934), known professionally as Glória Menezes, is a Brazilian actress. Tarcísio Pereira de Magalhães Sobrinho (5 October 1935 – 12 August 2021), known professionally as Tarcísio Meira, was a Brazilian actor.
